With Christmas just around the corner, British Airways has launched a promotion with Apple. Until 22 December 2019, Executive Club members can earn 9 Avios per £1 spent on Apple products, purchased through the Apple website.
The new iPhone 11 Pro and Apple Watch 5 devices are included in the promotion, but notable exclusions are the new AirPods Pro and the new 16″ MacBook Pro.
To prevent abuse, a maximum of 2 iPhones and 5 other eligible devices can be purchased in any 30 day period.
9 Avios per £1 will be awarded on on any spend before taxes and shipping charges. So, an iPhone 11 Pro 64GB would net you 7,551 Avios (£1,049 – 20% VAT) and an iPhone Pro Max 256GB would net you 9,351 Avios (£1,299 – 20% VAT).
If you hold an American Express Premium Plus credit card, you could pay with this card and earn an additional 1.5 Avios per £1. This would earn you a further 1,948 Avios.
We’re not always the biggest fans of earning points through referral links, as it can mean spending more than you normally would for the exact same product. That means we’re effectively paying extra to get the points – NOT A BONUS! This Apple offer is different because you pay exactly the same price, but get the points FOR FREE. If you’re planning on buying an Apple product, this is a welcome sweetener.
