The TAP Premium Lounge Atlântico is the newer, younger sibling to Lisbon Airport’s Tejo lounge, offering a fresh alternative in the non-Schengen area. Benefitting from being largely undiscovered, it’s a quieter retreat for passengers looking to escape the busy terminal. With modern design, thoughtful amenities, and a relaxed atmosphere, the lounge is a welcome addition for premium travellers, though its smaller size and lack of showers and natural light may leave long-haul travellers feeling short-changed.

Opening Hours
The TAP Premium Lounge Atlântico at Lisbon Airport operates daily from 05:00 to midnight, aligning with most long-haul and international flight schedules.
Locating the lounge & reception
Situated in the non-Schengen area (N Gates), the lounge is located on the left just after passport control. If you reach the gates, you’ve gone too far, turnaround and walk back towards passport control – you’ll see the lounge on the right. Reception was quiet during our visit, with boarding passes quickly scanned from our phone.
Comfort
The lounge is small, with space maximised in a single room. There’s a large dining area and a smaller number of quieter booth seats. A raised bar area with stools along the internal windows (with no natural light) provides a space for working, though the lack of external windows is noticeable. There are flight information screens in a few spots, and a large video screen at the back of the lounge.
When we visited in the early evening, the lounge was peaceful, with plenty of seating available. As this is a new space, it remains somewhat undiscovered, making it an oasis from the main terminal noise, although this may change as more travellers become aware of it.
Food & Drink
A self-service bar includes a beer tap, along with water filter taps for refilling bottles. The buffet provided both hot and cold options, including pastries and desserts.
The selection is smaller than Tejo lounge in the non-Schengen area, so consider clearing immigration and heading there if you want a meal (and you have an hour or more to burn).
Toilets and showers
The lounge has very small toilet facilities, which can get crowded during peak times. There’s a baby change and disabled toilet available, but no showers, which will be a disappointment for those using the lounge for long-haul routes.
WiFi, power & productivity
Wi-Fi is easy to connect to using QR codes around the lounge, with speeds around 16mb, suitable for browsing but not ideal for video calls. USB and mains charging ports are available at most seats, though they’re absent from central dining tables.
Extras
The cocktail menu at the self-service bar offers instructions on how to make a few drinks, with our favourite being the Bloody Mary – a nice touch for those looking to mix their own drink.
BG1 verdict
The TAP Premium Lounge Atlântico is a welcome addition to Lisbon’s non-Schengen area, providing a quiet, comfortable space for premium passengers. While small and lacking natural light, the efficient design, decent food and drink options, and relaxed atmosphere make it a solid choice for travellers. However, the lack of showers and smaller toilet facilities may leave frequent flyers wanting more, especially for long-haul departures. For now, TAP Premium Lounge Atlântico a quieter, tidier option than the busier TAP Tejo Lounge in the Schengen area, but expect crowds to increase as its popularity grows.
