Our Review Of ALL Accor

Accor takes a slightly different approach to hotel loyalty. This ALL Accor review looks at a programme with separate Reward points and Status points, plus a largely fixed redemption value. That makes the maths unusually easy. Reaching the upper tiers, however, requires considerably more commitment.

Points Earning Rates On Stays

At most Accor brands, Classic members earn 25 Reward points per €10 of eligible spend. Silver earns 31, Gold 37, Platinum 44 and Diamond 50.

Rates drop at some brands. Mama Shelter, ibis and ibis Styles earn half the standard rate. Adagio Access, Jo&Joe, Greet and participating ibis budget hotels in certain countries earn just five points per €10 at Classic level.

That distinction becomes important if you regularly choose Accor’s cheaper brands.

How Easy Is It To Redeem Points For Stays & Upgrades?

This is one of Accor’s strongest features. 1,000 Reward points knocks €20 off an eligible hotel bill, giving points a reassuringly predictable value.

Online and app redemptions start at 1,000 points. Beyond 2,000 points you redeem in blocks of 2,000, while hotels in France require at least 2,000 points.

There’s less scope for spectacular redemption sweet spots, but also less chance of discovering your points are worth far less than you’d hoped.

Upgrades work differently. Gold gets availability-based room upgrades, while Platinum and Diamond unlock Suite Night Upgrades.

You receive two SNUs at 14,000 Status points or 60 nights. The third arrives at 18,000 Status points, followed by another for each additional 4,000 Status points, capped at 12 annually. Crucially, nights only unlock the first two.

Do Points Expire?

Yes. Reward points expire after 12 months without qualifying activity. Earning more Reward or Status points resets the clock.

That’s noticeably less forgiving than Hilton’s 24-month window, so occasional Accor guests need to pay attention.

Introduction To The Status Tiers

Our review of ALL Accor gets more interesting once status enters the equation. There are five published levels: Classic, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. An invitation-only Limitless tier sits above them.

Diamond cannot be earned through nights. You need 26,000 Status points.

Status Point Accrual Rates On Stays

At most participating brands, €10 of eligible spend earns 25 Status points regardless of your tier. Mama Shelter, ibis and ibis Styles earn 12.5, while several extended-stay brands earn 10. Adagio Access, Jo&Joe, Greet and qualifying ibis budget hotels earn five.

Your status therefore increases Reward point earning, but doesn’t increase your Status point rate.

Approximate Cost & Nights Required To Reach Top Status

At the standard earning rate, Silver requires roughly €800 of eligible spend in a calendar year. Gold needs €2,800 and Platinum €5,600.

Diamond requires 26,000 Status points, equivalent to around €10,400 of eligible spend at full-rate brands.

Status Nights and Status points work on a calendar-year basis, so qualification progress resets at the start of January.

Sweet-spot For Earning Status

For Silver, Gold and Platinum, cheap qualifying nights can be surprisingly effective. A run of inexpensive ibis stays still counts towards the 10, 30 or 60-night thresholds even though those hotels earn fewer Status points.

Diamond changes the strategy. Spend is what counts, so premium brands earning the full Status point rate become far more useful.

Accor also sells ALL Accor+ Signature. It’s marketed from Brazil but can provide monthly Status points and Status Nights. The Absolute plan currently credits 1,000 Status points and five Status Nights monthly. Subscription-derived Status Nights are capped at 30 annually across qualifying Accor subscriptions.

That makes subscription maths worth investigating if you’re deliberately chasing Platinum.

Overall Quality Of The Status Benefits

Gold is where benefits become useful. You get room upgrades plus early check-in or late checkout, subject to availability.

For our review, Platinum is the sweet spot for ALL Accor. It adds lounge access and Suite Night Upgrades, plus daily breakfast at participating Asia-Pacific hotels.

Diamond adds complimentary weekend breakfast worldwide at participating hotels and 10 Dining & Spa Rewards worth €10 each. You can also gift Gold status to someone else.

The weakness is consistency. Brands and regions apply some benefits differently, so read the small print before chasing a tier.

BG1 Verdict

ALL is a logical programme. Reward points have predictable value and status points make qualification easy to understand.

Diamond is where the numbers become difficult. Spending roughly €10,400 each year requires serious commitment, while many of the programme’s strongest benefits already appear at Platinum.

For us, Platinum is the status worth targeting. Lounge access, breakfast in Asia-Pacific and the first two Suite Night Upgrades make 60 nights a useful alternative to €5,600 of qualifying spend. So, that’s the key takeaway from our ALL Accor review: the programme becomes compelling before you reach its highest published tier.
