The Catch

You need to stay 5 nights to get these Finnair business class prices, and the stay must include a Sunday night. With the exception of the unpleasantly long layover on the Dubai flight, the rest involve fairly short layovers in Helsinki, where you can enjoy the new Finnair lounge.

Finnair is the only Nordic airline to be award a 4-star Skytrax rating. Their long-haul business product features lie-flat, all-aisle-access seats on modern A350 and A330 aircraft. They joined the Oneworld alliance in 1999.

The majority of these fares hit the price targets we discuss in How Much Should You Pay for a Business Class Seat?

Travel Dates

Finnair aren’t much of a fan of you traveling during the summer holiday period – June, July, August – but they’re fine either side, and that includes Spring Break and Easter.

There is very good availability for these Finnair business class deals between 10 February 2020 and 19 June 2020, then 23 August 2020 and 30 November 2020.

BG1 Verdict

These Finnair business class deals are a BUY, especially when the contribution to status tier point accrual is factored in.

BG1 Tip

Finnair is full member of the Oneworld alliance. This means frequent flyers from all Oneworld airlines can earn and spend miles on Finnair flights.

The return business class flight from London to Helsinki earns 160 BA Exec Club tier points. If you’re looking for a way to retain Silver or Gold, this route could be helpful. Some flights are operated by a Finnair A350, allowing you to sample their long-haul product on a shortish route.
